Hello! We're the University of York Brass Band.

We rehearse once a week (on Sunday evenings) in the Sir Jack Lyons Concert Hall on our beautiful campus. We're a student run society and we have a very open, welcoming attitude. We don't hold auditions, and anyone is welcome to come along. We play a wide variety of music of all different standards of difficulty- so no matter how good you are there'll always be something you can play, but accomplished players won't get bored either!

We also have a reputation for being a very sociable society, and regularly get together outside of the band room.

Take a browse through our website to see exactly what we get up to, and if you have any unanswered questions then please don't hesistate to contact us and a member of our committee will get back to you as soon as possible.

The band has a Facebook Group for members as well as a Facebook and Twitter page so everyone can stay updated.

We are now already in the second week of summer term! How time flies when you're having fun.
The band is working towards two main events this term - the Whit Friday Marches and our annual summer concert.
We are greatly looking forward to taking part in the Whit Friday Marches (14th June) again, so keep an eye out for us if you're in the area!
Only a few days after this, we will be holding our summer concert. This year's repertoire promises to be spectacular, with something for everyone. It would be fantastic to see you there on 16th June (7pm). Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information.
